This week we’re introducing two new features to help sellers get the most out of eBay Classifieds.
Ever wonder what your user badge will look like on your ads? (Ever wonder what a user badge is?) Your user badge is the section on an ad that tells potential buyers or applicants about you.
As you add options to your profile, your user badge changes. Here is my user badge with all the bells and whistles:
As you can see, I registered a while ago and have chosen to display my Facebook and Twitter profile links. Also, since I’ve registered with a nickname my “View all ads” link is a customized link (http://www.ebayclassifieds.com/user/cifip) instead of a generic one (http://www.ebayclassifieds.com/user/?id=19010). Both links go to the same page.
Now when you add a password, user nickname, and Facebook or Twitter information to your profile, you will see the changes to your user badge straightaway on the “My Profile” tab:
The other new feature we’re introducing is the Seller’s Ad View. Previously, when you were logged in and visited your own ad, in the normal user badge location would be a “This is My Ad” section with a few links. We thought it would be more useful to see your ad the same way all users would, plus you have access to do more things with it.
Now when visiting your own ads, you’ll see this:
You’ll notice the big “This is My Ad” section at the top of the ad which includesbasic ad information, options to share on Facebook and Twitter, create a paper flyer, edit, or delete the ad. Plus you now see the full ad including the user badge and reply button.
As always, we hope you find these changes helpful and welcome your feedback.
